The first story in the collection is called “Legendary” and it’s about a little girl named Nalla that is being hunted by an assassin because an enemy group is trying to get at her parents, High Priestess Mellora and The Exiled King. So Nalla’s mother sends Sinha, the legendary dire wolf, to save her.
The second story is called “The High Queen’s Vow”. It’s about a young woman, Princess Daxxion, whose father, High King Savan, is murdered in an attempt to acquire the incredible powers that he has only to find that only a direct descendant can take such powers. However, on one condition: that in the attempt they don’t kill you first. Daxxion manages to survive with the help of Sim, a mysterious being that claims to be both mentor and protector. She has to become queen, find her father’s murderer, exact justice and protect her people.
The third story in the collection is called “Undeniable”. It’s about a young woman named Syrillia who was told her entire life that she had no power in a land where power was everything, and more importantly in a family where power was everything. In her favorite thinking spot on the roof of the north tower someone pushes her off. Instead of dying she does something far more incredible: she lives, with a little help from something she was told she didn’t have.
The fourth and final story in the collection called “Little Things” is about a cowardly man, Eli, who is afraid of snakes and asks his girlfriend, Leya, to go and take care of one that got in the house. The poor creature is a wee thing simply sunning himself in a nice comfy spot. She gets rid of the snake in a very unusual manner. She refuses to tell him exactly what she did to get rid of it but what she does say Eli doesn’t believe. Did she kill it or did she shoo it somewhere else in the house to scare Eli again later?
